The Memorial Site is surrounded by rolling woodlands, teeming with wildlife and beauty. This little pond was stocked with trout last summer. It also has salamanders and a few little turtles. The ice had come off the pond the day we arrived so my dad and I slipped down to feed the fish for the first time this spring.
